全体的に哀愁のあるメロディでほどよく明るさもあり、とても聴きやすいアルバムだと思います。ボーカルも楽曲にあっていると思いますし、ドラムも力強さを感じます。個人的には１・２・１１曲目が好みです。

知りたいんだ、これは現実なのか？
まあ歌詞はおいといて（なぜのせるのか）、自宅で麻雀をしながらこの曲を聴いていたときに、いきなり友人が「新幹線だ」と言い出しました。一瞬振り込んだのかと心配しましたが、よく聴くとsink or swimのところが「新幹線」に聴こえます。そこでひらめいたのですが、もしかするとこの歌は「こんなに速い新幹線という物は現実の乗り物かわからない」と感じてしまった時にできた歌なのかもしれません。さらに言うと、私はこんなにかっこよく新幹線を発音できるボーカルに感銘を覚えました。新幹線が実際に通過していくような躍動感のある発音で、さらにメロディも哀愁があっていいですね。
それでは結局sink or swimとはなんなのかということですが、直訳すると沈むか泳ぐか、になりますね。転じて「いちかばちか」「のるかそるか」という意味になります。私は「それでも町は廻っている」の影響で「いちかばちか（一か八か）」を英語で言うと「one or eight」だとばかり思っていましたが、この曲のおかげで正しい「いちかばちか」を知ることができました。saosinのみなさん、どうもありがとうございます。
